Toad Hall Car Museum

Post by smlibanker »

I am visiting Hyannis MA this weekend and found a brochure in the hotel lobby for this auto museum just down the road that has a couple Datsun Roadsters (64, 67 and 68) among a bunch other sports cars from many manufacturers. They are all red! We are heading there this morning to check it out. The website is pretty cool too.

I think it's funny that he states the 1600 came out in 62 and 68 was the last year......
I remember when no one wanted the 1500s......

Well, we went and I did take some photos, but had to grab a disposable as I forgot my digital. I will post them when I get them developed and digitized.

Quite a collection to say the least. I was expecting a bit more showcasing than what I found. Lots of cars from all sorts of manufacturers just as the website shows, tucked into some low ceiling, crushed-stone floored, somewhat damp, outbuildings. The part that I was very surprised with was the place had cats running all over the place, sleeping on and in the cars. Probably designed to keep the mice out at the expense of lots of hair and scratches, to say the least.

He certainly has a wide taste in classic sports cars just like the website shows. Again, I'll post some photos when I have them available.

If you are ever in the Cape Cod area, stop by for a quick walk through.
