Gary enjoy both gifts. I too hope to have my roadster there next year.

George,

Nice meeting you. Dick, unfortunately, broke an axle. He was lucky something worse didn't happen. I will definitely be racing a 1500 roadster next year. I may try to bring a second Datsun race car as well. With Datsun being the featured marque in 2011 it will be a year to be there.

The photo above is Jim K from Pittsburgh. He took "Best 2000" his first time out since restoring the car. The pictures don't do justice to the car.

Our house was a mile down a steep gravel road, I can't imagine the amount of cringing Jim did in and out of the driveway.

Gary
You missed the first house, road was WAY worse. The photo didn't do the scene justice, morning mist, Roadsters, dust, avoiding huge ruts, 3 inches of ground clearance, these are the reasons we do this :D . I was rolling down in 1st gear and still needed brakes in places, Mark came DOWN that road in the 64 with 3 working brakes and a leaky front wheel cylinder in the 1500, so either he's braver or dumber than the rest of us.

There was cold beer at the bottom. It was a necessary trip.
I remember when no one wanted the 1500s......
