Chicago Datsun Roadsters!

Post by DCooke »

Well, this might be a first, but we actually had 3 Datsun Roadsters from the Chicago area out together at a local cruise spot this week. There are rumors of at least 8 or 9 Datsun Roadster owners in the area, but rarely do you see one of these cars on the road or at a local show. So, 4 of us got together to meet and check out each other's cars. Three roadsters showed up & an owner of another came by. Check out the photos at..

Nice line-up! I'd like to get 3 or more of the numerous Winston Roadsters in one place at one time - though at this point I'd have to tow mine!
Obviously the surrounding and somewhat interesting other metal was hopelessly outclassed!
Way to represent!

It was good to see all the cars together. I was cool seeing the interest from other car guystoo. We will have to do this more often next year.

I don't see why you guys can't organize a little Midwest Solvang meet. Just pick a warm, non rainy time of year at a place that is scenic, realitivly inexpensive to stay or camp and then start getting the word out. Or maybe someone has a nice summer place that everyone can show up to, similar to the Neals in Oregon.
Anyway just an idea. Cars look great. Did you guys chow down on Chicago dogs? :(
