toneau and a rollbar

Post by doobop101 »

I have a toneau that came with my car but wont attach with the rollbar in place.. Has anyone ever had them modified to wrap around the bars and secure with the original snaps and twisties?
This is on a high windshield if it makes any difference

Hi doobop,
I just purchased a tonneau off of ebay with the rollbar holes installed. I don't have a rollbar though. I have a 69. Want to trade? It needs a new zipper and some stitching reinforced but not bad. With headrest and steering wheel pockets.

you can email me at eastmedia@aol.com

tonneau alteration

Post by FergO2k »

any decent marine canvas fab shop can alter the canvas tonneau for you, and they love work during the slow wintertimes. They'll just measure and cut it, and sew the sides so that they are doubled up like the existing edges.
I have plans to have this done, and have a "bimini" top fabbed, like the jeeps use in summertime.
