Alvin, its not a matter of having 5th to race you, its a matter of having 5th to get up there. If you want to come down here, lets have at it
. Looking at the RWHP, it looks like the U20 isn't such a slug afterall. I guess I'll have to sit down and do a little tuning here.

My car sits under a cover, waiting for 1), a different rear diff, 2) a new tranny, 3) a new waterpump, and last but not least, 4) a new battery. I have a different rear end, a 5spd in box that is missing something, and I think 5th might be bad on it as well. I have feeling that fixing the LSD will cost an arm and a leg . Working my butt off for $8.50 an hour just doesn't leave room to fix these things.
Needless to say, this race isn't going to happen anytime soon.
Hey you gotta pay to play.....

Dave,
I think the 5th might be spun on it. The other 4 gears seem to hold, but 5th seems to spin in my hand The part that seems to be missing from the box is reverse. I could be wrong on the spinning gear, I don't actually know if it is 5th that I am getting to spin. I need to take it to a local 510 guy who can steer me in the right direction. (I just haven't gotten off work in time to run up to his work before he takes off.)
As for the rear end, I'm hoping to get the 3.9 installed this weekend so at least I can drive it around town again. I'm really scared to find out what happend with the LSD, the water pump is just a phone call away. Its just a matter of $$

it spins with the syncro engaged? I have the competition parts manual if you need good blow up pictures , also ID's the different gear sets by tooth count to make sure they match up. Let me know if you want the pages.
Water pump is $31.00 at your local NAPA, unless you have another source. they did a nice job on mine. http://www.napaonline.com/cgi-bin/ncomm ... d=88543274 (Double check in the illustrated parts listing before you order, first one that came in was misboxed)
