Hello from the Netherlands

Post by budgerian »

Good day to all,

Just wanted to introduce my late 67 (68 model year) 2000 roadster.
I bought it from forum member Richard last week and have been grinning ever since.

This forum has turned out to be a wonderful source of information sofar, but I am sure a few questions will come up as time goes by.

Anyway, here she is, feel free to comment:

Welcome! That is a nice looking car, any thoughts of squeezing that Jensen engine in there?!
Tell me more about the Jensen, and post more pics of your Roadster.

Tell me more about the Jensen
Ha! You found the other pictures, took me a while to figure out the thumbs were linked to the photobucket album! :D
The Jensen engine came out of the black Interceptor pictured, which is no longer. It's a 440 mopar engine, Jensen just put their own valve covers on them. That would be a daunting proposition, to put that behemoth under a roadster hood!
It's actually destined for the pictured blue Interceptor, which is my childhood dream car and long time restoration project.
Having a drivable roadster does nothing for resto progress though....

Nice looking photo of the car, which would look better with a windmill behind it! :)

Linda
Sadly-Linda has passed away 2022. She was the 311's den mother and drove the first Rare-Parts ball joint project. RIP.

A 440 is a BIG motor. Would probably tilt the roadster down onto the front bumper and lift the rear tires off the ground just putting it in :D

Dave's comment got me to looking for an outlandish swap photo. I have seen a stroked hemi Bugeye, but this is absofreakinlutely insane!! It is a BMW Isetta with an Allison v12. I guess he really lives up to the saying "Go big or go home..."
