Another hi from Australia

Post by sr(no\'l\')311 »

Hi guys,

Just found the forum!

I used to be (a couple of years ago) on the autox email list, but dropped off after some changes to my IP. So this is neat - I've already recognised some names! :D

So a big HI to those I know, and a big HI to those I don't.

Anyway, I'm based in Melbourne, Australia, and my daily driver (and only car) is a 1968 2000 Solex (which is all we got over here in the 2000s). I love the damn thing - but one day before too long she'll have to come off the road and get a restoration done. In the meantime, though, she's fast, fun, and loud.

Cheers,
Steve

Hey Steve, welcome. We have several folks from downunder signed up on the forum. The more the merrier I say. It sounds like you have gotten alot of good out of your "sports". Fun cars they are. Enjoy.

Hi Sid!

Long time no read!

This place will be easier to keep track of than the email list, I'm thinking.

Thanks for the comment on the sig. I stole it from someone off the email list, a few years ago.

I can't get it to quite work on this format, though, the top part keeps staying behind the bottom when it finally is viewed. I'll see if I can fix that.

Hi Plasmaboy, & hi, guys!

Been a bit busy to get here for a week or two.

I'm already a member of DSRCVIC, and guru Lou's phone number is one of the few that I know off by heart! :)

And I'm looking forward to the supercharged U20 - it's on my list of "things I wanna do" - but I figured I'd do a blow through setup with the Solex's.

Cheers,
Steve

Hi .. you will be out of luck with solexes .. they cant do blow through boost .. you will have to go to webers ( kitted out for turbo blow through ) or injection If you give me your e-mail address I can send you some info on my blower install .. I have also talked to Lou about my car ( he did my gearbox ) so he could have some info for you too
