front lugs

Post by Russell Roach »

Hey guys!

Just a quick question, are the lug bolt sizes consistent through the model years I have a wrecked hub off my 66 that I have to replace with a later model hub off a 69 will the lugs be the same?

Come on Sid and Steve knock this one out of the park!

As far as I know, yes. The lug nuts should be the same with both, so it would make sence that the lugs themelves are the same.

Russell:
I am almost positive (90%) that they are the same. I live North of you near Paris, TX. Where do you get your parts - used- when you need them around Dallas? Thanks. Sam

No, they are different! One set was made in 1966 and the other in 1969. Gotcha!! They are the same stuff. I just had to see if I could get someone wound up with the dissenting vote from the peanut gallery...

So Sid. how are they different? Did the they go to 12mm in '69? You are a wealth of roadster knowledge. We might have to start calling you Professor Roadster. Once again, I stand corrected.

My McGaurd lugnuts work on a friends 66, and a different friends 67.5, so that leads me to beleve that they are all the same.

Steve,

Go reread my post. I said
"Gotcha!! They are the same stuff. I just had to see if I could get someone wound up with the dissenting vote from the peanut gallery..."

They are the same. Nissan did NOT switch to metric on the studs within the Roadster line.

Sorry if I mislead anyone with my poor attempt at humor there...

Okay, okay, I get it now. Geez, Sid, some of the stuff you have come up with in the past had me wondering. Nothing like reading and not seeing! Ha!
