I can't remember which set og tubeing wrenches I want for my birthday. Is the brake and fuel system on my 70 metric or standard? I used to know but I think I sniffed too much bad gas last summer 8)

tubing wrenches - STD

The 510's made the swap to metric flare fittings, and most probably the Z's are the same way. Your 70 roadster is still standard threaded on the brake lines, and most probably the fuel lines, although I have never messed with those.

Yep, get a good quality 7/16" flare nut wrench to remove/replace those brake line fittings.

Irony is a 11mm just about fits (real close) and works as well as the 7/16" item.

11mm = 0.433"
7/16 = 0.437"

Fittings are 3/8" x 24 tpi, sadly very close to a 10mm x 1.0 thread. Just close enough if you get a cylinder with METRIC fittings (aka 510), and thread in a roadster (SAE) fitting... it will go in. Go to "snug it down" and the fitting popps out stripping all the threads.
