If I can make, I would probably be heading home after the lunch stop. This will probably have me in the car for 8+ hours, which is plenty for me. I know, what a wuss. (waits for the brisco comment) As a side note, I just ordered one of those ebay aluminum radiators and can hopefully get it installed before the potential run and see if it helps with my running hot issue. The outside temps will probably be low enough that I may not see a change on the flats, but I'm sure winding up the hills will give it a shakedown. I really hope to make this as it sure is looking like a nice turnout!
We'll leave it up to the Napa/North Bay guys to map out the fun-run route. Please take into account traffic risks, road conditions, and possible # of stops so people can cut out earlier if they want. This North Bay/Wine Country Fall Run is sounding pretty darn cool....
Dan: can you update the BADROC page just in case it receives some views in the next 8 days. The more the merrier.
roadster has other plans that weekend
don't worry I can keep up with you guys in the Z
Can't wait to see you and Primo roll, interested to see who will win
I'm not racing, or doing anything dumb, I have no tires left, my fronts are bald, the rears are not much better but totally hard. Any damp section of road is scary, I'm not sure what is worse, my 3 year old bald Falkens, or my heat cycled out Hankook Z212 r-compounds for a wet road. Last weeks little bit of rain made for a very scary drive to and from work. If it were July, I'd throw the Hankooks on and go for it, but since there will be some wet areas on the road (shady areas that don't see much sun) I'm going to play it safe. If someone wants to challenge me to a race, it will have to wait till next year when tracks open and or autoX courses open up again.

Sorry, I find modern engine swaps revolting. Keep your G, R, or U series in your Roadster!
A friend of mine spotted a silver roadster on Mission Blvd in the Niles district over the weekend, Eddie or Rich were either of you in that area in the roadster over the weekend?
This is looking like it might be a good run. It will be pretty much all 2 lane road. I doubt traffic will be an issue as well.

I'm in that area (Niles) every now and then. Driving Highway84/Niles Canyon Rd between Mission Blvd and 680 can be pretty fun if traffic is light. But nope, that wasn't me this past weekend.
If you're going 880N, exit Mowry Ave and turn right at the stoplight onto Mowry. Then make a u-turn at Farwell Dr and the Starbucks will be in a strip mall on the right side before the 880 freeway entrance. (+1 Plug for 'The Country Way Restaurant' in that strip mall. Best coffee shop/diner in Fremont!!!!)
I'll be at that Starbucks around 715am...bright and early.
