Any NorCal/Bay Area interest in a run down to the Monterey Historics for the Sunday sessions?

Hey Matt,

I am up for taking the trip south. I will be driving the Z though as I am working on my carbs on the stroker. Trying some new needles to see if I can get it dialed in better. Right now she is running on the rich side. Ask Alvin, I was gagging him when he was following me. I might have gotten you as well. She runs great but too rich. Do we have any idea what time we might have to leave? I am not sure we would be able to get into the datsun corral but even the trip down and back would be a fun road trip. Any one else interested?

Hi Steve.. well, I'm an early bird but also flexible. You've got the long haul for this trip so, we can run off your schedule. let me know what works best.

Raul has expressed interest, I'll try and pin him down by the first of the week.

AG you out there?

So, when is the event scheduled? For some reason I thought it was this Sunday. If not I am still on except for Sunday the 22nd as I will be on a business trip that week. I am not against getting up early as I do it all the time. Any way, it sounds like fun.

Matt,

Okay, count me in. I can leave Rohnert Park by 5 AM and be in San Jose around 6:15--6:30. Where should we meet there? I probably will not stay all day as I want to get back at a decent hour. Let's work something out and I will see if anyone else is interested-I kind of doubt it but hey--I can ask any way.

Yet again, I can't go. I still have no engine, and by the 15th, I hope to have it in, but I still wouldn't go that far until I have a few hundred miles in it. Perhaps next year (I think I've said that at least 5 times in regaurds to the Historics  .)

Sorry, I find modern engine swaps revolting. Keep your G, R, or U series in your Roadster!

Hi All,
I just bought a 1967.5 1600 this weekend after months of long searching! :D Very clean car, and it runs quite well.
I'll be going to the Historic Races on Sunday as well, but I will be in Santa Cruz the night before so my drive down will be shorter (and I can wake up later). It would be cool if we could meet for the drive back to the bay area though.

I won't be able to make it....I'll be hanging out with my 2 kids and can't fit everyone into the roadster...

But alas....We'll still be having a Datsun Roadster weekend cleaning up the latest Roadster I brought home...I swear, I couldn't help myself!!!! More details to come... (after Alvin tells us about his latest project!).
