Au Contraire, Tom! I mentioned it:

You will need to extend and reroute the temp sender wire.

The last I heard, Stan no longer had the shift plates. He may have run another batch since then. I have seen a few cars that just reversed the 4 speed plate. It did not stand out as much as you would think. Then there is the solution that Ken Ogi had - he made an insert to the shift plate that was cut to match the 5 speed plate, and it sat on top of the butchered 4 speed plate. It looked pretty convincing until you really studied it.

On the 2000 fuel pumps, a lot of aftermarket manufacturers have consolidated the part number. Who knows which you are really getting. If you are racing, then it is an issue, but for the street I don't think so.

On the carbs, the 67 SU units did not have the return line nor the fitting. It is quite easy to convert the later ones to a no return line setup.

Pardon my horrible French up there!

Hi Sid,

Missed it. I have a "bad habit" of replying when I am doing other things... drives my kids crazy as I'll be typing out a reply while talking to them. Doh... yes, I really need to proof my postings first. <grin>.

One thing about "forums" is I can always go back and edit my post so they look perfect. Actually only do that when I make a major mistake.
Like "do NOT push the brake pedal when the drums are off". Nothing
worse than leaving "NOT" out of that instruction. <grin>
