Need to ship a roadster from CA to WA

Post by ppeters914 »

Did the deed; now need to move that puppy from San Jose, CA to Seattle, WA - approx 850 miles one-way. The seller has one estimate of $750 though I don't know the shipper's name.

Anyone have thoughts/comments/ideas/etc on this?

Hey! If AlvinG is feeling brave, maybe he'll drive it up here. Expenses up + air fare back to CA should be less than $750. :D

I don't know the company's name but my dad just had a 73 beetle shipped from L.A. CA to Sequim WA for $450. The car is running. I don't know if the roadster is dead or not but if it is the price usually doubles.

I would check around since a running roadster to ship on the west coast shouldn't be more than $500. I've had friends that shipped from coast to coast for $800.

I think you got a very nice car there Pete and I'm glad it went to a good home.

I paid 650.00 from Counsils Bluff Iowa to San Jose. I shopped around on the internet and got the best price.
