BBQ/FUN RUN - SHED, OREGON AUGUST 22
This is the second annual Shed BBQ and Fun Run hosted by Bill & Karen Neal.
This year the BBQ is set for August 22 at the home of Bill & Karen Neal in Shed, Oregon, which is located just East of Corvallis.
Last year was the first year Bill & Karen hosted this annual event and saw a good group of cars, good food, a great run, and old and new friends to meet and enjoy. I look forward to meeting them again this year.
For more information visit http://www.nowroc.org/events/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, where you will find links to the flyer with address and times, as well as links to maps and last year's pictures.
If you are looking for a great day to enjoy your roadster, don't miss this event this year. RSVP Bill & Karen early and start making your plans now.
For those who might want to set up a tent overnight there is plenty of great scenery and room at the Neal's. Motels are nearby if you prefer.

Re: BBQ/FUN RUN - SHED, OREGON AUGUST 22
We have RSVPd and are heading up from Fremont CA via Medford (only 385 miles). Hooking up with my wife's sister, the woman who introduced me to these little cars, her husband and now I hear her son is going along in his Z.
About a 2 hour drive to Corvallis then the 100 mile run, a stay over on the coast and then the long ride home.
I hope I still love my car (and my wife) after this many miles on the road (1000+).
Did I mention it's our 25th anniversary?
Wish me luck.

Hi Tom, I agree, this is a very fun time and, yes, this year they're expecting more cars and owners to be there. I'll be in a stock 2000 this year so I don't plan to be out front, I'll be back in the group with Mr. Hyde...LOL... though the gray 67 1600 I had there alst year will be there with it's new owner.
This is a great opportunity to visit with other Northwest roadster owners and see there beautiful cars, either while on the run or at the BBQ it will be a fun time. I'll see ya there... Bill

Robin and I will be attending in the white one. I'm waiting for a reply from our datsun buddies but we hope to have company for the drive down as well. There are a lot of great roadsters in the Seattle area.
We will RSVP this weekend. We're really looking forward to the drive and BBQ.
BTW, we will be bringing the tent. See you all there.

The fun run was a blast, there may have been up to 19 Roadsters either on the fun run or at the BBQ. the photo is at Thompson's Flour Mill near Brownsville and it is now a day use Oregon State Park. Hopefully Tom H. or Enrique S. will post some BBQ photo's.. Thanks to everyone who made it there....Bill

I'll post a couple, but I know I didn't get a shot of each car. Just general panorama shots.
I tried to get a good detail picture, so hopefully the pics aren't too big.

Nice shots. Looks like the weather was good for the campers and those wide open spaces looked perfect for cruising.
Hope you can post a link to a site with the photos and some ID for whose car belongs to who.

Sadly-Linda has passed away 2022. She was the 311's den mother and drove the first Rare-Parts ball joint project. RIP.

All I have to say is the Neil family rocks. Robin and I had a great weekend. We camped out by the pond and almost froze. Low 40's overnight. Bill and Karen set us up with hot coffee and an even hotter shower Sunday morning.
And for all that was aware, it wasn't the gas. We stopped on the way home and changed plugs and wires in an parts store parking lot. The white one is happy again.
Can't wait to do the Shedd again.

Well we made it back to Fremont.
1531 miles round trip, that includes back and forth from Newport to Shedd.
Bill and Karen are fantastic host's. Thank you both so much for allowing us all to invade your beautiful home.
Next year we will stay closer. That extra 100 miles was a killer...HA! We could have done the whole fun run instead of meeting in Alsea (sp?). The part we joined you on was quite a thrill. I didn't know the speed limit signs in Oregon refered to your RPM not MPH, 45(00) RPM vs. 85 MPH. Bill, do you know the law enforcement people in that area or are there just none there to worry about.
It was a pleasure to meet all of you.
Hope to see you next year.
