hi
i'm new to this site.
i fell in luv with the roadster about 5 yrs ago a friend of mine owned one... i looked all around for about 3 years , then i found a 67 up buy Angels Camp Ca.
now i would like to do a few thing to it {rebiuld engine, & can i relpace the 4 speed tras with a 5 spd???] AND MAYBE RIMS & TIRES
Welcome to the madness. We'd love to see some pictures of the 67. I'm new myself, but I'm sure the old farts around here (did I say that?) will tell you to drive it for a year before tearing it apart, and I have to agree.
Edit - maybe you've already had the car for a couple of years? Well, there's loads of info on here about tranny work and wheels/rims. Look through it and you may be inspired.

Yup; how-to in the TechWiki. Spend some time reviewing the TechWiki and searching the forums, and you'll learn a ton real fast.

Knowledge is power, and power corrupts, so then knowledge is bad, right?
The 5 speed conversion is very doable, but talk to people who have done it first. The overdrive is nice, but you loose alot of ratio in 1st gear to save a few hundred rpm on the highway. If you do mostly local, the 4 speed, to me, is alot more fun.

Unless you swap in the 5-speed from a truck like Daryl did. Definitely not plug-n-play, but.....
