My '70 U20 SU's may be sucking air. (They throttle down when I spray carburator cleaner near the throttle shafts.)
I read somewhere that the shafts have grooves with plastic "bushings" instead of brass as a cost saver.
Any way to replace the plastic bushing instead of spending $175 for rebuilt throttle shafts from that Zsomethingorother carburator place?

RE:Throttle Shaft Bushings
You might just be able to get the new bushings from either ZTherapy or Keith William's of the roadster ranch and rebuild them yourself. It blows being on a budget. I do not know if their bushings fit the stock throttle bodies or if they are bored out a bit. Send Keith an email and ask him. He is on the vendor's page. Good luck.
