New Roadster Owner in MD

Post by duff me »

Hey everyone,
I am expecting my first roadster in the next two weeks - it's near Seattle right now, but getting on a truck to make the cross country trip soon. I got it from Ebay, and I'm excited to get it here.
Here's a picture (I hope, if I can link it here...)
Image
It's a 1968 1600, good condition, original engine.

I have seen a few Marylanders on here - any get togethers coming up around here?

Doh!

Welcome! Nice car! Beware that Datsun 1500 guy in your neck of the woods...

Oh, also avoid all urges to take the car apart for any reason. Enjoy the ride!

Thanks. They're Ronal 17" wheels. I believe they're the R38 model, but the previous owner didn't say. He said that Ronal made custom spacers for them.

I thought they looked familiar. I had 17" Ronal's (they may have been the same style) on my Audi but they are no longer selling to individual's . . . only to manufacturers.

They look great on the car and the car looks fantastic. You made a good purchase.

Welcome, cool car. As everyone says, get in and drive it! enjoy it and if you must, wait til winter to take thigs apart and play.

Stay away from Datsun1500, he's dangerous.
Every time I go near his house, a Roadster gets bought, sold or transported somewhere. It's fun though.

Enjoy

I'm no trouble, It's not my fault Dave and I keep swapping cars, parts, trailers, etc. Must be the coffee.

Let me know when it gets here, we will meet up...
