10th Annual Show and Go Car Show for Charity

I received word today from someone with the Old Farts Racing Team. These are the guys are responsible for a very large car show in Downtown Riverside. They would like to have Datsun Roadster participate in this three day event. May 1, 2, & 3 2009
(This is not the Chili Cook Off show that Riverside has every year, this is a much larger production)

This is their 10th Annual Show and Go Car Show for Charity sponsored by K&N Filters. I have always gone to this as a spectator and have always been impressed. In fact it was this show that inspired me years ago to get back into cars. This show usually has about 1000 cars registered.

This show is the weekend after Solvang, so it will be fun to have Solvang atmosphere and excitement carry over to Riverside. And for those that just can’t make it to Solvang this is a good one to get in on.

Here is a brief run down for the days:

Friday - 4pm registration/sign in & all night Cruise 6pm – 10pm

Saturday – Starts off at 6:30am with a Pancake Breakfast and the show
Open header night and cruising

Sunday – 1:pm – 2:30pm Awards presentations – There is a category for Imports

Drive Magazine will be there all three days taking pictures and doing interviews

Live Radio DJ will also be walking around doing his show and interviews

Plenty of fun and food and live entertainment for everyone all the time

You need to register right away and if we want to park our Roadster together we need to arrive a little early and together, placement of the cars is first come first serve. So far four SoCalROC members have agreed to register for this event. Get your registration by clicking the link below and get it sent in. They usually shut down registration after 1000 cars register, so get yours in early. Let’s have a great showing of Datsun Roadsters among the American Mussel.
