HELP!

Post by dbrick »

I need to find wheels for a 64 1500 that is coming East next week :D :D I put a post in "wanted", but I could use some suggestions as to style and sources. I was thinking of real chrome wire wheels, but I'm open to ideas. Car will be pretty old school, so maybe Libras or 5 slots? No superlites or Minilites, never liked them for some reason.

Rear fenders are flared, fronts stock, so some stagger may be in order as I want to fill the rear wheel wells. I'll be adding front discs ASAP, so 14 and up, but there may not be alot of room in the front. If the paint wasn't done, I'd add late or Omni flares on the front, but not possible now.

I'll have it next week for measurements, working on style right now

That car would look good with black spokes with chrome beauty rims and knockoffs like you see on quite a few Shelby Cobras with the same paint scheme.

Those may not be a bad choice and copies are available new. American racing makes them now and I believe you can custom order offsets, if they make the lug pattern. I did not look. The second one is the I'm speaking of. The first one is another option for a vintage look. There are also old JDM wheels that are available in wide rim sizes with lots of negative offset. Club 4AG is one of the better sources to check out those type.
