Actually, I bought the car in '90, and swapped in a 89 350 tuned port/700R4 combo w/a Howell harness. I always wanted a 6 speed, but the ZF was the only option in 90, and it just was too costly and too big a pain. When the T56 came out, I found it cheaper to sell my TPI motor & tranny, and just get an LT1/6 speed combo. Did this swap in '98.

When I did my 1st "restify" of the car in '90, I put in huge sway bars, stiffer springs and used the Formula 350 steering gearbox, modified for cutlass. Would go great around the curves....except the stock strato buckets had no lateral support and I would feel like I was going to fly out the door when I took curves hard. These GTO seats are awesome. Here's the last "eye candy" of the interior, then let's get back to Datsuns (although you can always PM me!).
