Date for the 3rd Annual Brew HaHA?

Post by nats226ny »

Question for Vince or anyone else who might know. What is the date for the Brew HaHA this year? Hopefully its not on May 2/3 I'll be out of state for a wedding.

Thanks, Gary

Looks like it will be Saturday May 16.

I believe this is the same weekend as the Carlisle Pa show.

However, the event on May 16 part of " American Craft Beer Week " and also its Pleasantville Day.

The brewery party goes on rain or shine and should be a great event this year.

Carlisle is featuring Japanese cars this year for the first time. It is supposed to be huge, one of the first major vintage Japanese auto events.

Hey Mark are you going to Carlisle?
What is the program at Carlisle, are there any events that take place and is it the same both Saturday and Sunday? I would like to make both the Pleasantville and the Carlisle trip.

Thanks, Gary

I am going to Carlisle. 2 years ago the promoters of Carlisle were on a few boards wondering about the dwindling turn out for the vintage/import show. The biggest complaint was that they were not catering to the vintage guys and had turned it into a tuner/ricer event. Many people said they wanted a vintage show again with Japanese cars as the feature. My feeling is since they listened to what the people asked the least we can do is support it.

If we get 20 people registered as part of the group we get a dedicated spot with a large tent for free.

I can just register as Datsun Roadster Group.. With all of mine and all of Brisco's we are 1/2 way there :)

With our son finally here, I can't promise being able to do more than 1 day at Carlisle, but I already have my kitchen pass for at least 1 day. Trying for more :D
I can also try and get 3 others from the area that might be good for a day or 2.

Vince, Distance from my house to Carlisle is 239 miles or close to 4 1/2 hours (according to mapquest), from you to Carlisle is close to 4 hours (this is driving at the speed limit which I have been known to exceed at times) and from my house to you is 62 miles or 1 1/2 hours. All in all its about a extra hour to go to you on Saturday and then spin down to Carlisle Saturday nite and staying over until Sunday. I was in touch with Brisco and he is thinking about doing both. I'm sure Kathy and Linda will be thrilled to be spending more quality time in the Roadster's. Maybe we'll just have them sample a few extra beers and they won't realize that we made a wrong turn and ended up in PA (just a thought).

I will be trying to make both, to remain married, I may borrow a trailer. Carlisle is starting on Friday, but I don't know which is the best day to be there. There is a Country Inn and Suites in Harrisburg, 30 miles east of Carlisle, it's nice, we've stayed there, might not be booked up.

We should defiantly register as a club. (..."it's not a gang, it's a Club!")

Sounds like a planning session is in order!
