Introduction

Post by Max »

Hi my name is Max, I bought a 1968 2000 (serial # 01406) about 10 years ago and started and stopped working on it several times. I finally have full time space for it in the garage and some overtime money to spend on myself. It starts and runs fine, but after sitting outside for the last 6 years it needs some serious TLC. I live in Kennewick, Washington.

Welcome Max,

Enjoy the site. You will find a lot of nice friendly and helpful people here. Sorry to here about all of your snow. It certainly does make it difficult to work and enjoy the cars at this time of the year. I am sort of envious of Nissanman at this time, with his nice summertime weather.

I'll take that!

You in Washington: Mean maximum temperature (July - middle of summer) = 75o F (23.9o C)

Me in Brisbane: Mean maximum temperature (July - middle of winter) = 20.4o C (68.7o F)

So there's only 6.3 degrees F between my midwinter temperature and your midsummer one! I know where I'd rather be driving a topless car. Apart from the whole subtropical storm season, of course, which is kind of spoiling my fun at the moment.

Grrrrrrr......sub-tropical Brisbane, and anywhere closer to the equator don't count.

I remember visiting Sydney in July. The ship came down from Guam and the Philippines. Froze our assets. Luckily plenty of antifreeeze available in the 'Cross. Image
