Whose Red 2000 in St. Louis?

Post by Revbang »

I was driving down I-270 on Mother's Day and going about 80 miles an hour in the left lane came a beautiful red 2000. I sped up and we had a two sentence conversation before I had to exit. Are you on here? Mark

Whose Red 2000 in St. Louis?

It just might be the one I sold there back in 1982...sold it to buy an engagement ring and move to California...long story with good and bad endings :) I would love to find out if it's the same car...a '69. I sold it to a guy on N.20thSt. ??

Twenty some years later I'm back in a roadster and loving it.

I am not that informed about the differences between the 68-70 models. I did notice the dash was the later one though. It's certainly possible it was yours. The guys in the car were old enough to have owned the car 20 years. If I hear anything I'll let you know. Mark

The easiest way to tell the difference on high windshield models is the side marker lights. '68 had none, '69 had round in back and teardrop in front, '70 had rectangular front and back. Of course this assumes the car hasn't been modified.

I live in St. Louis and can recall seeing only 1 or 2 others in the area. Glad to see I'm not alone. I need to complete some work on one of my other project before I can dedicate some serious time to restoring the roadster. Hopefully I'll be able to dedicate some time to it this fall.

Hey, another roadster in St. Louis! Saw a orange/red roadster heading north on Bryan Road / Mexico Rd. in Ofallon at 1:15pm on July 4th. Anyone?

Lots of roadsters and owners in the St Louis area... I know of 12 roadster owners in the St Louis area alone... always looking for more... perhaps to start up a club soon!!
