brake volvo conversion

Post by Rkeyracer5 »

I'm currently converting my Datsun Roadsters front brake calipers to the volve brake calipers conversion. I cannot complete the conversion until I locate a machine shop to turn down the outside rotor diameter. Does anyone know of anyone located in the Inland Empire area that can turn down the rotors. If not local please inform me of a online machine shop.

Thank you in advance,

Dan

Medesto would be a long drive North from the Inland Empire.....

Try Riverside.......

Almost any brake shop can do it.......try a six pack.

Like I said, what do I know, I am from Florida! Heck on the desktop globe Modesto and Riverside would almost be touching...

The Inland Empire is basically directly East of Los Angeles, about 50 miles "Inland" from the coast. It consists primarily of Riverside/San Bernardino/Corona areas. There is a pretty big group of roadster people out there including SoCalROC evangelist (actually he is a real chaplin) Chris Breyer.

Welcome and good luck with the conversion. I had this conversion done and while it costs pretty much the same as roadster brakes, the big plus is much better parts availability.
