Most of us don't put enough hours/miles to wear out a conversion or rebuild (wish I could put as many mile as Wil puts on his U20). Some of FJ guys in Australia are converting their FJs to s14/s15 SR20 electronics (ECU...mass meter...) and mine has an SDS EFI (ECU...map...) IMHO reliability is not a problem.ppeters914 wrote:Define reliable. Plenty of folks with reliable stock motors as well as L-series, rotaries, KA's, CA's, VG's, Ford Zetec, Ford V8, etc. Oh yeah....Phil's FJ.hoa_nugin wrote: I was leaning more towards the SR20DE motor ... because I've heard its a more refined engine and is more reliable.
