Mention beer.
I'll be there when it's time to put the engine & tranny back in. Just make sure the dog is inside/tied up.

Maybe we can get Gordon to help now that the election is over. Reassembly always takes longer than demo, but at least it'll be cleaner.

In the meantime, quit posting and clean/paint/repair/replace/etc......repeat as needed. :smt079

The slop on the throttle cross shaft is not a bad thing. Don't try to tighten it up too much. On the dog bones, a dremel with a wire wheel will do wonders...

Sid, went from .100 to about .010 on the linkage play......
the intake and carbs are coming together. not real happy about the smoothness of the dash pots. have a few to play with so i'm trying some mix and match.

Just a thought, but since you have the driveshaft out and have new joints, it
might be a good time to have its balance checked by a reputable shop.

I've chased down a slight vibration several times in the past (on the roadster and other vehicles) and found the driveshaft can be out of balance due to a joint change.
This has occurred on both garage mechanic and self installed joints.

Sound like your rebuild is coming along fine,
Keep it up.
