Well Sid, your gonna be waiting a bit longer.

The white 1600 is down for a semi restore. Robin's 1500 is still under cover.

I have a heated shop to work in now so we're gonna kick some Datsun butt this winter.

Pics and videos coming soon.

Love to, but I've got orders to have the 411 and/or my roadster running first before I zoom off to assist anyone.

Saaaay.....I'll get mine, then we do yours, then we head over to Gordon's or Tana's.....pretty soon we'll have Datsuns to drive to the Datsun meetings. Now there's a concept, eh? Be still my beating heart!

That's minor. Cheap ( I think the clutch master, clutch slave and new hose ~ $60) and easy to replace.

Check with Gordon, Mark or Tana about a hoist and/or load leveler (worst case, rent 'em), then schedule a day. Saturdays are best for me.

If it's any help, I used a $40.00 1/2 ton chain hoist from Harbor freight, pulled the motor with ease.
Image
They only make a 1 ton now. $49.00 http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/d ... number=996No leveler, just a loop of chain and a bolt to make a loop. 5 minutes trial and error to balance it.

I put a BIG eye hook, 12" long, 1/2" thread up into the header over the garage door with a 4"x10" heavy sheetmetal plate and some big washers as a backup. Me and my assistant, total about 375 lbs (he was most of it) pulled on the eyebolt, no flex, never moved pulling the engine. We just pullud the engine up and pushed the car back.

Putting it back in that night, by myself, was tougher rolling the car forward, lower the chain, etc It was probably funny to watch.

Toal cost $50.00 and you get to keep everything. Great for getting engines etc out of the pickup too.
