Need a set of race wheels.

Anyone know of a set of wheels 15x6 with a 4 and 3/8 inch off set? A set would be the hot ticket for my needs. It will supposedly allow big tires on a stock rear fender, I'm talking 225s. I don't think I'd go that big, but....

I know I could go to someone like Diamond racing wheels to have a set made, but they are horribly heavy. Like 17lbs. thats a 4lb per wheel weight penalty, plus the extra weight of a larger tire. I'd rather not go that route. If anyone knows of a set of wheels that is either 14" or 15 inch, that would be great. I'd rather go with 15s as there are far more tires listed in that size.

My concern is that they won't work on the front that well. I'd like to be able to rotate the tires around the car to keep the wear even, but if I can't I'll have to live with it.

I have a set of Enkie wheels that are the size you are looking for. 15x6, 4 1/4" backspace. As for the look, you either love them or hate them. There's no doubt they are different! I only have 3 of the center covers, if that makes any difference. Here is a pic. No tires.

Why run a 225 on a 6" wheel?
If you can 7" Panasport makes a perfect offset

Enkei mesh, Rota/SSR Auto-x are both extremely light wheels just ebay/craigslist it.

At this point I'm only looking. I did something incredibly stupid last thursday night and its going to cost me. I'm not going into it (its non-U20 engine related however) and well, for anyone who knows me, they would never in a million years guess that I had done something this dumb. (I will say things went crunch, and things are bent...)

Mark, I did misread your post, I noticed it was less after I posted. If I had to guess those are for a fwd?

The roadster still runs like an Omega watch, the Alfa is however confined to the garage feeling a little on the sick side. (I'm thinking equivalent to a bad case of flu. Non life threatening, but a p.i.t.a. non the less.) I'll say that exhaust valves don't like being forced into the pistons I think its only one or 2, the intake is fine. At the very least, I will be finding out what the inside of the engine looks like. By the way, the engine was not running at the time.

Lets just say I shouldn't have been touching the car, let alone screwing with cam timing. It was a very unususal lapse of common sense, with a large helping of stupidity topped with hunger and the need for some sleep. A bad case of WTF was I thinking?
I was insearch of more cam overlap. Its easy to acheve with an Alfa engine as the cams have verneer holes in them that allow for a change in timing. One hole change is equal to 1.5 degrees of crank timing. So, without removing the timing chain, or the cams, I can adjust the timing by removing a stop pin and turning the gear (by turning the crank) either forward or backward. Instead, I tried to turn the cam and leave the crank. Obviously the valves will hit the pistons (because they aren't moving.) Well, when the cam wouldn't turn, I forced it... with a crunch. (It took a lot of effort to do this. Like I said, I was brain dead.) Once it went crunch, I figured out that I had done something monumentally stupid, so I had to undo it. Rather than learn from my first mistake, I decided to force the cam back to where it was to begin with. Again with another crunch. The damage was done, then I figured out what I had really done.
So what should have been a simple half hour job ended up costing me a valve or 2, and what ever else needs to be adressed when I pull the thing apart.

I think that has to be the stupidest thing I have ever done in my life.

Well, I guess if I look on the bright side, I won't make the same mistake ever again, and its an excuse for finding a little more go for the engine. My biggest concern is that I will disturb things that are presently happy where they have been since 1974 (when the engine was last apart) and I will have nothing but trouble until I rebuild the whole thing. (Specifically disturbing the piston liners and the their seals at the bottom when I remove the head.) I'm hoping that it will be a simple remove, repair and replace with everything going back together and being content. At least I won't have to pull the engine and transmission to pull the head.

I have not done an alfa in 20 years, but usually we needed a slide hammer type puller to pull the liners.

IIRC, we turned the cam to reset the timing. Don't put the head on TDC, but 20-30 degrees off. The trick is to replace the pin with a smaller diameter pin so the gear cannot move very much, but enought to alinement pin to the next hole. After you have tighened up the pin and removed the limiting pin recheck the advance-retard of the cam buy turning the crank.
