2nd gen Datsun addict

Post by AKBarratt »

Just inherited my Dads' old 68 2000 Roadster. I have to go to Oregon and bring it back up To Alaska so I can bring back from 12 years of storage next spring.

He used to autocross and hillclimb the car, so It has all the comp suspension, Solex package including the oilpan, B cam, 44's adn velocity stacks. Widened Z wheels, airdam, and no bumpers round out the package.

I am really excited to get it going and drive it again. The last time I drove it was Pioneer motorsports Playday at Portland International Raceway in 95' or 96'.

Thanks for the Forum!

Bryan,

Welcome and good luck with your project. It is cool when the roadster has been a part of the family for a generation or two. Cheers.

I hope Alaska's climate provides enough open-air time for you.

Two things sad about these cars -- when they're off the road in GOOD weather, and when the weather's not good and they're ready to GO !!

Best wishes ...

Welcome,

You can tell by my post count I'm not very active on here, but that will change this winter. I've been collecting parts for mine for over a year now, including an SR20det/5 speed setup. Should make for a good rocket!

Kent from Anchorage

-- some of the best sunny days are in the winter, at about 20 degrees.

Sweet, I hope to have mine on the road next summer. Looking forward to drives to anchorage in the roadster.

We need to find the other few roadster owners in Alaska!

You guys need a Fun Run with a salmon BBQ at the end.

Or maybe moose burgersLOL

I know there's a few of us up here, but I'm lagging behind. The others I know of have driveable cars...
