Monterey Historics

Post by SLOroadster »

So is anyone else bringing a roadster to the Datsun corral at the Historics this weekend? I'm planing on bringing mine down.

I won't be in a roadster, but we will be there on Saturday and Sunday! (In a R32 GT-R) See you there!

Please tell me you are being sarcastic. That stupid mall sucks at epic proportions. :Tosser:

This sounds tempting. I'm not far from there, just up in Fremont.
Do you have to buy a ticket in advance or just show up?

You can just show up, the tickets are $85 at the gate (ouch, but worth it.) Then you can B.S. your way down to the corral. I've done that for the past 3 years, this year I actually have a pass. I'll be heading down early tomorrow morning (shooting to leave here by 6 and at the gate by 8:30 ish).

We had a whole 3 roadsters in attendance. Alvin showed up with his, Datzoom (aka Dan Philbin) made a surprise appearance with one of his 67.5 2000s and there was of course mine. It was a small turnout for the corral. I'll have some pictures later, camera battery is dead so I can't download yet.

Yup. I was up there for a week in '97, but never made it there. Somehow, I don't feel my life is poorer for missing the experience.
