I don't usually post 'hey there' type posts, but I am just getting back to my project after it sitting since 2001 and wanted to share. When I first registered I was under the username (DCG_Racing).
I spent a year out in Oregon and then bought a 'new' racecar which stole my time away from my roadster project for the last few years. I have since sold the racecar and am now able to dedicate a little more time to the project.
When I left the project in 01, I just had taken the head off and replaced the head and manifold gaskets. All that remains to see if this thing runs again is to finish putting the carbs back on (hope I am able to figure out where all the vacuum lines and cables go) and drain / fill the gas tank up.
Before I did the work above, it was running pretty hot so I'll see if the new head gasket help quell that problem. If it starts and runs, I'll likely need a new radiator (or re-core), new brakes, and a new clutch for starters.
For anyone in St. Louis, I live in Ofallon (MO) and work in Chesterfield. I'd be up for a lunch if you are in the area.
Best,
Mike

Re: New club forming?
It's defunct as far as I can tell. Too bad, too, because we've got a car show coming up at Dulles Airport. MADROC organizer Mark Stickerman in years past has helped put together a turnout of about a dozen Roadsters.MADROC (unless there's a Mid Atlantic ROC?
See:http://www.wa3vjb.com/pics/Group.jpg
The MADROC Websites are dead; and the email Reflector is non-functional.
Dead:
http://www.datsunroadsters.com/MADROC/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Also dead:
http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Down ... 81999.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
So consider keeping the MADROC name alive and if there's a revival out here we can figure something else out.

I should note that I posted in this thread (several years old) dues to the reference in the MW club, and St. Louis specifically and did not want to clutter up the board with a new thread to just say 'hi'. That said, I would really like to see the MW club grow as I know there are other owners out there that would like to have a group to associate with.

Hey Mike,
I'm not too far from you, just on the other side of the river. Glad to see you are getting your roadster back up in action! I might be able to assist with the various car issues, maybe even a radiator... I have a fairly new 1600 radiator in my attic right now. Shoot me an email!
