Tire and wheel cleaning products

Post by Linda »

Hi List,
What do most of you like to use to clean the tires? I was told Armorall is bad but I do like a bit of a shine to the tires. Anything out there that is friendlier to the tire rubber? As for wheels, I know some like the Mother's polish but wondered if there is anything new out that works well.
It's a beautiful day and I'm in the mood to do some cleaning on the Roadster.
Thanks,
Linda
Sadly-Linda has passed away 2022. She was the 311's den mother and drove the first Rare-Parts ball joint project. RIP.

303 Protectant. You can get it at most boating or RV supply store. It's the best stuff in my opinion. Won't give you the high gloss look though. I've been using this on my whitewater raft for almost 10 years. Great for a sunscreen

I like Meguires tire gel. Low gloss and does not turn brown after a week. For polishing aluminum, Simichrome makes a good product.

Tires is about the only thing I will use Armorall on, even then if something else is valiable I will use it.

I completly agree with Mark, Meguires and Simichrome.
