no, you can bottom mount with a log-style manifold:

top mount turbo
Thanks for reply. So is A top mount out of the question? Or is there still clearance problems? I love the look of the top mount header. Any help I can get would be great.

Well, obviously with a log style manifold you can do a top or a bottom mount. I top mounted mine and there's no clearance issues. The downpipe just snakes around the steering driveline. I've been wondering for a long time if an equal length, top mount, manifold like the ones from Peak Boost or Full Race would work. I don't know that anyone has tried it yet.

Here is a Full Race top mount manifold and more for sale on Ebay. I dont know if it will work on a Roadster but it sure is cool looking.
