Final NORCAL UFO AutoX Nov 18

Post by SLOroadster »

Lets see some of the many roadsters here in the Bay Area come out and play at the final event of the season. All are welcome, full stock cars can race Vintage Stock, tuned ones can race with me in Vintage Street Prep, or either of the correct SCCA classes. If you have a swapped car, you run in the Open Street Prep class. Don't worry about having a helmet, roll bar, or even race harnesses. The helmets can be borrowed, and roll bars and race harnesses are not required. There is absolutely nothing to hit (other than rubber cones). The car will have to pass a simple safety inspection, but thats it. Race tires are not needed, but they sure help.

Check out http://www.norcalufo.org for run times and more information. I will be running about 11:00. I will be happy to ride along and give pointers to anyone who wants them. This is a super safe event with only one car on the course at a time (ok sometimes 2 but very widely spaced apart.) its not wheel to wheel racing.

I hope to see more than just my car there.

Sorry, I find modern engine swaps revolting. Keep your G, R, or U series in your Roadster!

I'll see if I can make it down Sunday. Marina is less than an hour away. I'd love to enter either my Z or 1200 but just don't have time to prep either one. Used to autox a fair bit with a 510 but haven't in about 15 years. Maybe I'll try one next year with ya!

Mark,
I hope to see you there. Is there anyone else interested? This is a fun time. The weather is supposed to be nice, what more can you ask for?
