Nice meeting you Ron. Thanks for posting the nice pictures and for the advice on replacing the clutch. I'll be on this project as soon as I find some space.
This show was impressive. I saw just about every Japanese car I could imagine, and then some. The market is blowing up for older Japanese cars now, fueled by the drifters and people young enough to avoid the influence of bias against Japanese cars, which was so much stronger in the 60s and early 70s when most of these cars were made.
My show favorites were the Toyota GT2000, the Mazda Cosmo, and the 67. 5 2000 race car. There were so many beautiful cars!

Can't believe you got a pic with Leno, Ron! Good seeing you there along with the SoCal crew. Here are my pics/write-up:

We left for Long Beach from San Jose in a 15passenger van. Stayed aboard the Queen Mary Friday night in a room with fake windows. Highlights from the show:
Captain Ron leads the pack:

Finally saw "Bob" in person, Michael you do brilliant work! Clean, clean.

Ron's 1600 with a nice red interior and mini-lites!

The man, the myth, the legend.

Not in the show but an interesting roadster with an SR20ET, rear disc brakes, funky tail light treatment:

Stunning Skylines in 2/4 doors trims:

and this little beastie, a Hayabusa powered, rwd, engine by the side Honda!

A REALLY old Datsun:

This Nice Turbo'd SR20 with a 510 around it

It was a great show, not enough time to see everything but when you attract celebrities from around the world the show is doing something right! Check my other post for our Sunday at Coronodo wth Ron Carter racing.
