Swap hate is sooooo 4years ago. Get over it.
Swaps don't bother me obviously, I own a swapped car. To me it looks like nothing has changed though, a motor swap question was asked, the zetec swap was brought up and bashed.
My comment about having more than one Zetec running in a roadster was really about documentation.
The documentation is there as far as the drivetrain goes. The only difference is the body shell. You can build this on the stand and drop it in without cutting anything. I can lift the drivetrain out of mine, and snap a photo of it out, then a photo of it in, if that helps

You will need to get 2 plates made, the go from the stock motor mounts to the stock Zetec block. I have offered to take mine out and get good photos and exact measurements for a few people after they have purchased the motor and tranny (JFBrink being one) and no one has done that yet. I am not taking my car apart on a maybe, nor am I here to hold your hand through a swap. If you need a step by step manual and are not willing to do some research, a swap is not for you. Where is the photo step by step of the KA24 or SR20 swap?
It's one thing to buy a car that is already swapped and talk about it.
This does not mean I don't know every inch of the car, some of the stuff I went back over, like the water tube. You also assume that I only have 1 Zetec swapped car.
Totally different ballgame to actually research, oversee, design and implement a swap from start to finish!! I thought maybe someone else had done a Zetec with full picto-restoration.
And you researched and designed yours? Please.
The Zetec swap is one that requires no cutting, and can be done for well under $2K with ease. It got bashed for being a Ford, (from a few people that have abandoned SR20 cars, go figure) so be it. Parts are available anywhere, and it is as reliable as a new car. It kept me from buying a Miata or Z4 or Boxster and for that I am happy. You don't have to like it, I did not buy it for you
