Was thinking about putting a 4 point harness in my (potential) Roadster. (I've got to commit to this thing and be done with it). The Schroth look reasonable and the fact that they are DOT legal might be important.
Has anyone put these in a roadster and what did you use and an upper attachment point?
Thanks,
Steve

RE:Belts
Never installed the Schroth's but there was quite a bit of talk about them on the roadster list. Do you have a roll bar? I do not recall if you did or not. The best possible place to mount the shoulder belts is on a horizontal bar welded to the roll bar at a height equal to or just a little below your shoulders when you are seated. Many people mount them to the package shelf behind the seats on the wheel wells or to the package shelf itself. The problem with that installation is in a real crash your back can suffer from severe compression--which is not a good thing at all. Keeping them as close to shoulder height as you can is best. I had my Sparcos mounted incorrectly. Right now I am running with lap belts in my street car until I can get a horizontzal bar welded on my roll bar.
