Removing Sticky Status

Post by Wrenchands »

Steve,

Just curious if we could remove the "sticky status" of posts after a month of inactivity? Otherwise, we will need to click through multiple pages just to see the new topics. Thank you.

Well, the point of having a sticky is to have it at the top as being very useful information. All new posts have the new post icon so you should not have to wade through too much. I suppose I could move all the Stickies into their own category.

Does any one else have a thought on this? I am not against doing it but would like more input before I do any thing. Thanks.

I went ahead and created a new forum for Stickies called Very Useful Information. So after a month of being in the spawned forum I will move them there. Does that work?

Personally, I don't cruise the forums. I click on the "View posts since last visit" link on the main page. No scrolling for me!! By using that link, they can ALL be stickies for all that I care...

1. Sid, I just saw that link  Boy have I been wasting alot of time

2. Steve, what if you move the new categories up a bit higher so people see them? Just a thought, I hardley ever scroll all th way down, but then again, I am lazy.
