I would use grade 8 AN bolts with the exact shoulder length needed and either jetnuts or nylock nuts. Look at Pegasus, not too expensive, considering the quality. http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/advcat ... D=HARDWARE

Also, many ATV's use split rims, there is probably a special nut and bolt combo for them too.
How many bolts per wheel?

I used grade 8 Steel Nylock nuts, purhased from Boltdepot.com. They came nicely yellow chromated, and I ordered washers to match. The thread is 3/8 x 24, and there are 8 per wheel.

Mine came with the studs, but they do unscrew, and you could replace them with them with new studs if you so desire, though I don't know where you'd find them off hand.

If you need the o-ring, let me know and I'll dig up the info I have about what size they are and where to get them. It did take a little work to get them not to leak, but once done, they have been solid for over a year now.

O rings may also help keep the nuts tight and cushion the two pieces. Depending on the thickness, you can buy O ring material on a roll, you cut it to length and crazy glue the ends. They use it for big industrial plumbing stuff.
