Sway bar end link bushing cover bolt size

Post by tcslc »

Been pretty good at bagging and labeling everything when it came off the car, but no matter how many times I’ve looked through the same box of bagged parts I can’t find the bolts or screws for the end link bushing covers. Can’t find the size in the forums, either. I’ve got the covers. Can anyone please help with the thread pitch and length, and whether it was originally a screw or a bolt?

Well, in my experience (and it's been a while) but as I recall I just used a small screw and nut/lock nut of what would fit the hole (pretty small). I don't believe it's under and significant strain so nothing special is required to my knowledge and I've never had one break in 38 years. However, originally is not a significant question for my car... not sure in yours! FWIW! :D

10-32. Originally a little hex head slotted screw. only about 3/8" long. Any type 10-32 screw would do. A SHCS would be a good choice.
