This should be the new "Solvang". Road trip south of the border for a week in the Winter!
Not a real suggestion ... never been to Solvang! Would just love a leisurely trip[ down that peninsula!

And in the opposite direction, I have always wanted to do the Al-Can highway, though I am told it is now all paved, there used to be sections that were still gravel in the past.
Meet at Ted Heatons in Washington, north to Anchorage, then south to Solvang?
Whose in?
Might be because a last weeks "cars n coffee", I met someone from Sweden, who with 4 friends flew over, picked up US cars they had just bought, drove FLA-Toronto-Vancouver-Anchorage-Los Angeles. (8k miles)
What could go wrong?

I discovered that a coworker has an "old" car, too, so we headed east of the city to some fun winding roads and mountains. (He has a 1985 Porsche 944.)

Put the top on and my wife and I took a quick ride to Tybee Island for some lunch. Beautiful sunny day for a ride.

I have not driven a manual transmission car in 52 days due to a leg injury. Yesterday donned my ankle brace and fired up Sora for a quick drive. Running through the gears, hearing the Solexes roar and the aroma of fuel all reminded me how therapeutic classic cars are. Shhh…don’t tell my doctor!

Great sound on those videos Alvin! Glad they're on YouTube so others can hear what we hear from behind the wheel. Hope the leg heals up quick... I can relate from my car accident 2 yrs ago and the surgery on my broken ankle... it takes time.
I'm jelly about the other drives folks posted... too cold and rainy here right now... car sleeping... but spring will come!

Re: Where did you DRIVE this weekend? (Roadsters only!)
I have 4 day weekends, being semi retired and working the other 3 days. I drove my 68 2000 to get a sub sandwich from Galigaskins Saturday afternoon andto pick up a couple pizzas last night. About 10 mile round trip. Anyone found a good way to carry a drink in these things???

Re: Where did you DRIVE this weekend? (Roadsters only!)
Took it out for the first good run of the year through the city. To everyone else it probably looked like I was rallying, when in fact I was just trying hard not to rip out my suspension on all the huge potholes around here. Maybe I’ll stick to familiar roads for the time being and give the city a couple more weeks to address this moonscape issue.
