Subject: thermostat tower bolts 67-1600

Anyone know the size of the nuts that fit the water tower on a 67 -1600? It is a two bolt tower with the two shorter bolts. Looks like this:

Went to the hardware store here and couldn't get a good fit.

thanks,

Anyone able to help Bob out?

67 is metric, isn't it? I'm replacing the Tstat on the 66 soon, will post when I know.
Now here's a great database to be made.

I'm out and about looking for a bolt at the bolt and nut supplies in my area as I text this. Is it an M7 or M8 by 1.25 pitch?

If the engine number is below 40,000 then it’s SAE and 40,000 and up is metric.
