I've done extensive reading on other car forums regarding the use of NLGI 00 grease in steering boxes. All opinions seem to agree that it's the way to go for the Worm-Sector style, as found in our earlier boxes, but there is much debate if it's "liquid" enough to actually circulate around the balls in the RCB boxes, and not simply get "pushed out of the way". As I replied back to Michael, I'm now confident enough to locate and use the Penrite, in my lightly seeping RCB box. I still have to figure out a way to drain the old 90w gear oil out of it, or if I have to remove it and turn it upside down. Anyone have ideas about that ? There is no drain plug on the late RCB.
