Ken Kawabata

Post by Alvin »

I met Ken in 2021 by chance near the Bay Trail by my work. He was walking his dog and noticed I was driving Sora. Ken was a huge car enthusiast, and fellow Datsun Roadster owner.
His '70 SRL:

He also owned several race cars:

I bumped into Ken on a Thanksgiving Day drive up at Alice's Restaurant. He was in his Porsche 912, totally excited to share photos of his stable with others:

He is survived by his wife Ruth(below)

Rest in Peace, Ken

I would run into Ken either at the Chevron Millbrae Skyline gas station or around crystal springs dam, loved his 912 too, thanks for sharing, he will be greatly missed, always friendly and willing to chat cars. The hills of San Bruno and the peninsula will be quiet without Ken and his cars 😢
