Crank pulley Harmonic balancer question

Post by nismou20 »

So how are U20 crank pulley timing marks restored to the base in relation to keyway? Mine was slipping slowly toward the engine timing pointer. Going to take it to a machine shop but just curious as I don’t see alignment marks.

You need to have it rebuilt. The rubber vulcanization has deteriorated.

That's a good question. I had mine rebuilt by a place in CA and they seemed to know. Discuss with the rebuilder. I suspected this had happened to you on your previous post... better than a crank thrust issue, that's for sure!
