PMs working?

Post by Gregs672000 »

Hi gang, I have 3 PMs in my outbox that have gone unread for some time longer than I would expect, and I'm wondering if the anyone else is having some sit. One in particular was a response to some questions and I don't want them to think I ignored them!

I asked a similar question some time ago and was told that they stayed in your inbox (even thought they were sent) until they were opened and read by recipient .... not sure of the accuracy of this, but I saw the same thing.

My experience as well, and why I am wondering. I know that others don't live on 311s like I do, but when someone goes to the effort to ask me questions I want to make sure they know I'm answering!
Thanks Greg.

Yeah, I find myself more often than not, not logging in if I intend to just read. Of course if you want to respond to a thread then you must. And there have been times where "Oopsy" I have PM sitting in my in box.

The system notifies my email too, so that helps.

Some users, typically newer ones, don't use or know of the email or private messages, also, if someone's mailbox is full, it won't take any more emails unless the member deletes some messages.
