I came across this YouTube video title, and couldn't resist taking a look. After viewing, I thought it might be interesting enough to share....opinions on that may vary..

All good, assuming this guy knows his stuff, just use the JIS screw drivers and it has you covered regardless of the + screw type you are using. I understand the SU bowl screws tend to take a beating by using a standard Phillips on them.

Sheesh, 30 years wrenching and missed this. Yes, many a screw (on my cars) that have been replaced having taken a beating using Phillips; not the JIS. Thanks for sharing.

That is completely correct, JIS screws are way better than the US Phillips screws and the JIS screw drivers are far more available now than ever.

Give me the posi grip bit ...for small trim screws ,although they're NA for 15 yrs now you could put a rachet screw driver in the Phillips slot and it would stay put by itself, very good on buried screws you could barely get a tool on in dash the bit had fine teeth that pulled the bit deeper as you turned

I understand Vessel makes some good JIS screwdrivers. I bought an interchangeable bit set. Amazon has a good selection.

Wow, thanks so much for posting! Watched the entire video. Had no idea, but I know what I'm gonna do! I've had to get a variety of Torx bits for the BMWs...
