Rear brakes 510 Mexican model
I just bought a 69 datsun 510. I just figure it out that is a mexican model. Talking to different people, they have told me that the rear has leaf springs and it has drum brakes. I bought a Wildwood brake conversion kit for the rear. Does anyone know if it does fit ? If it does not, is there a solution or is better to return the rear brakes ? Please advise. Thank you.

As you have discovered, they had an independent rear as a sedan. However, the wagon version was leaf springs, so I would inquire in that direction. Also recommend you direct your 510 questions to Ratsun, though there are several folks here who own numerous Nissan models and may be able to help as well.

Yes, Many of the Mexican 510s came with rear leaf springs sedan and wagons and with a pushrod /Underhead Cam engine maybe a A15? Yeah, Ratsun would be a prospective site to enquire
