They attach to the same style of twisty posts as used on the body, only on top of the dash. The twisty posts screw into threaded holes on the metal part of the dash, through the foam.

Ok, I now see the four holes that are further up the flat dash that aren't shown in the picture--Shannon pointed out those are for the tonneau cover. Thanks.
