Parts needed for windshield replace?
Hi All- I'm embarking on replacing the windshield on my 1970 1600. Besides the glass and the gasket, are there any other parts needed or should be replaced when the glass is out? Thanks.

Well,
Do you have or need the stainless steel trim? I think I have two sets, I can sell you a set if you need it. They are in pretty good condition if my memory serves me right.

The trim is in pretty good shape. Can it be removed and replaced without damaging it?

I would have a close look at all the channels, especially the bottom one, for CORROSION
Now is the time to remove it and re-treat the metal to protect it in the future

Nissanman, just trying to help.

Re: Parts needed for windshield replace?
I'm not sure how it happened, but one of the previous owners (I'm #4) let the windshield wipers gouge an arc into the glass. So I have two nice arcs in the middle of my windshield. There are also a couple of good rock chips. Boggles my mind that someone would not notice their wipers were grinding their windshield.
